Significant Industrial User (SIU)
Any industrial user of wastewater disposal system who:
- Has an average daily process wastewater flow of 25,000 gallons or more, or
- Contributes more than 5% of any design or treatment capacity of the WPCP, or
- Is required to meet a National Categorical Pretreatment Standard, or
- Is found by the County, the Division of Water Resources, or the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to have the potential for impact, either singly or in combination with other contributing industrial users, on the wastewater treatment system, the quality of sludge, the system's effluent quality, or compliance with any pretreatment standards or requirements.
