IFB 2024-02 INFLUENT PUMP STATION UPGRADE PROJECT
Sealed Bids will be received by the County of Moore (OWNER) on the 2nd Floor of the Moore
County Historic Courthouse in Carthage, NC until 4:00 p.m., Wednesday October 4th, 2023, for
the “IBF 2024-02 - Influent Pump Station Upgrade, Water Pollution Control Plant”, Project. A prebid
conference will be held Thursday September 14th , 2023 at 10:00 a.m., at the Moore County
Water Pollution Control Plant, located at 1094 Addor Road, Aberdeen, NC.
The work consists of the replacement of four (4) dry pit raw sewage pumps, and the construction
of a new electrical building, panelboard, Variable Frequency Drives with Solid State Reduced
Voltage bypass, Closed-Circuit Television system, site work, etc. at the Moore Co. Water Pollution
Control Plant located at 1094 Addor Road, Aberdeen, NC.
At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be
publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids must be in accordance with the Bid Documents on file
with Moore County, and at the office of Sturgill Engineering, P.A., 1 South Main Street, Lexington,
NC 27292. A copy of the Bid Documents may be obtained from the Engineers at the address
stipulated above upon payment of $150.00 for each complete set of documents. Plan costs are
non-refundable.
Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina for the type of work required.
Bids will be received on a unit price or lump sum basis as described in the Contract Documents.
The work is to commence within 15 days after the Date of Contract. Completion of the work is
as required in the contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a
Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful
performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the
Contract.
Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid. No Bid may
be withdrawn within a period of 60 days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The Owner
reserves the right to select alternatives, to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and to
reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional Bids.
